Gymnastics Australia is the national governing body for gymnastics, overseeing the sport’s growth and participation across all ages and abilities, from grassroots programs to elite Olympic pathways.
Over time, engagement with the sport began to soften and its public perception gradually narrowed, increasingly seen as intense and performance driven. Following a series of public challenges and with the Brisbane 2032 Olympics approaching, the organisation recognised the need to broaden the narrative, rebuild trust, and make gymnastics feel more welcoming and inclusive.
Discover The Freedom was launched as a national campaign to reposition gymnastics as a platform for movement, fun, self exploration, and personal growth. Rolled out with the support of state and territory bodies, the campaign helped reset perceptions and support the sport’s long term growth.

My Role
Project & Account Management
Managed the project end to end, from briefing to delegation, creative execution, quality checks, and final rollout
Served as the primary point of contact for all state and territory associations
Managed cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery
Business Development
Prepared technical and financial proposals and onboarded the client
Identified and upsold additional work for the agency including a national membership-focused microsite, state annual reports, and related communication assets
Secured an expanded campaign engagement in 2026 ahead of the Commonwealth Games following the success of the 2024 rollout
Creative & Design
Contributed to building the campaign visual identity in collaboration with the creative team
Led campaign design execution across digital assets, POS materials, and supporting communication collaterals
Led state-level adaptations of the master campaign across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and the Northern Territory
